Crone in Training
Traditionally there are three stages of a woman's life. The first stage is maiden. The second stage is mother. The last stage is crone. Most of us know what it is to be a maiden and a mother. As a woman who is getting older ( I do not consider myself old, yet),I find there does not seem to be a lot of information on this stage of life. Can we share ideas on well-being?

Life in the Fast Lane
In the grand scheme of things, you learn to expect the unexpected. I am expecting my fifth grand child in a few months. Our lives take unexpected twists and turns and we keep putting one foot in front of the other. One of my favorite sayings is: Don't wait for the storm to pass, Learn to dance in the rain.

Will My New Training Really Help?
Did I wait too long to go back to school? Will my age keep me from getting a job although I have an Associates Degree? I'm told that it will not, but is that true?
Younger?
Every makeup tip and face cream touts that it will make you look ten years. But why do we need to look ten years younger? What is wrong with being the age we are? Just for today, enjoy where you are in age.

Reminder to All Ages
Today I got my flu shot. It is important for those who are older, younger, and those who are caring for people who are older or younger to get their flu shots. Those with health issues, such as diabetes and asthma, need to get the shot too. I fall into almost all of those categories, as do many people. Stay well during flu season this year!

To Dye or Not to Dye
A few years ago I decided to quit dying my hair. I had been dying my hair since my late teens. Does dying my hair give me fewer wrinkles? Does it truly make me look younger if my gray is hidden? I feel that every gray is well earned. Why should it make me look even older? Does anyone else feel this way?

Feelings Awareness
I am reminded that after a certain age people tend to look through you, not at you. Do people not want to know that someday they too will be older? Is it being oversensitive and people just don't look at each other anymore? Comments such as, "She's old, why are you talking to her?" don't help either.
