Traditionally there are three stages of a woman's life. The first stage is maiden. The second stage is mother. The last stage is crone. Most of us know what it is to be a maiden and a mother. As a woman who is getting older ( I do not consider myself old, yet),I find there does not seem to be a lot of information on this stage of life. Can we share ideas on well-being?

Reminder to All Ages
Today I got my flu shot. It is important for those who are older, younger, and those who are caring for people who are older or younger to get their flu shots. Those with health issues, such as diabetes and asthma, need to get the shot too. I fall into almost all of those categories, as do many people. Stay well during flu season this year!

To Dye or Not to Dye
A few years ago I decided to quit dying my hair. I had been dying my hair since my late teens. Does dying my hair give me fewer wrinkles? Does it truly make me look younger if my gray is hidden? I feel that every gray is well earned. Why should it make me look even older? Does anyone else feel this way?

Feelings Awareness
I am reminded that after a certain age people tend to look through you, not at you. Do people not want to know that someday they too will be older? Is it being oversensitive and people just don't look at each other anymore? Comments such as, "She's old, why are you talking to her?" don't help either.
